I’ve stopped shopping at shopping centers. Period. I cannot handle the crowds, the lines and the overly ‘helpful’ shop assistants. Luckily we live in an age where everything seems to be going online (shopping included.) I really love being able to shop from the comfort of my own home – taking as much time as I’d like and not having to deal with any of the annoyances listed above. I’ve also found that since starting my online shopping journey, I’ve managed to save a lot of money. I was surprised to see how many amazing online shops there were at our fingertips that I’d never even heard about! I started to find items online that I’d seen in shops for around 1/3rd of the price in some cases. What was I doing all this time?! Why was I wasting my time at crowded shopping centers?! Well no more my friends! Here are some of my favourite online bargain shops for your enjoyment.
www.aliexpress.com – This is one of my most recent finds. I always thought they only sold electrical items, but to my surprise they also stock beautiful clothing, bags and shoes! There are leather items that are more than half the price that you would pay in the stores – it’s pretty amazing! Also if you know your brands, there are a lot of shops selling ‘seconds’ with tiny defects that can’t be sold in the shops. The labels are blurred out, but if you know your labels then you’ll still recognize the brands! It’s a great opportunity to buy items from designers at heavily discounted prices.
www.asos.com – This has been one of my favourite online shopping sites for a long time. Be prepared to set aside hours browsing though! There is a huge variety of clothes (including famous brands) at very reasonable prices and the site is updated daily with fashionable new steals. From bags, to dresses, to accessories and shoes – you can find it all here! Oh and did I mention free shipping worldwide?!
www.groupon.com – I mainly use this site for restaurant deals. I love my food but eating out regularly can really become very expensive. With this ingenious site, it lets me indulge and try new restaurants without breaking the bank. It’s also a great site when you’re stuck for gift ideas – everybody loves a pampering massage or manicure!
www.ebay.com – Another site that has been one of my favourites for a long time! I can find absolutely anything I need here – the most exciting for me is the designer clothing for crazy prices! I’m not one to mind to purchase a gorgeous dress has been worn once or twice – in my eyes it’s totally worth it! Spend your time searching for items you love and then save the shop (‘seller’) into your favourites list. That way you can always go back and see the new items up for sale. Many sellers also offer free shipping – but make sure that if you buy from China that you’re willing to wait – most of the time it will take around 3 weeks to get to you.
www.kidsteals.com – This one is great for the kids (obviously!) I’m always struggling to find cute presents for my nieces and nephews so this site has saved me many times! They stock all the cutest kids merchandise, and what’s even better, is that they sell it for 50-80% off! But make sure to be quick – usually they post their deals at 9am every day and once it’s sold out it’s sold out!
Those are just a few of my favourite online shops. Do you like to shop online? What are your favourite discount websites?
