My New Discovery… Couponster!

So my best friend is moving to the UK. I’ve had a few days for it to sink in, but to say I’m out of ‘crisis mode’ would be a lie. We have been inseperable all our lives (she was practically waiting for me when I came out of the womb!) and we’ve never spent longer than a few weeks apart. Boyfriends we’ve had along the way have known that they will always come second.

Anyway after many tears and questions I have finally accepted that the reasons given are legitimate and understandable. Her and her boyfriend have been jobless for months now, and they believe that there will be better opportunities in the UK. At the moment she is extremely stressed due to the grim financial situation that they’ve found themselves in, as well as all the stress of moving countries and leaving family and friends etc. It’s difficult to watch your best friend go through all that, and know that there’s not much you can do to help.

I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with ways to help her during this stressful time. My search then (of course) took me to the internet. I stumbled across a site called Couponster.co.uk and immediately knew that this was the way I could help my best friend.

Firstly the site itself is super cute and I was instantly drawn to it (give me anything green and orange and I’ll be all over it!) The top navigation menu is broken down into vouchers for home, shops, and general vouchers. Obviously my friend would be moving into an apartment in the UK, so I scoured through the ‘home’ section to see what was on offer. To my surprise, the list was endless! I had a look at the voucher for “Furniture Village” which offered up to 50% off the whole store and found a gorgeous couch that I just knew my friend would love – for half price! I then found a voucher for “BedandBreakfast.com” which entitled me to a free $10 gift card – I thought it would be a fantastic idea to book my friend a night at a gorgeous little cottage when she arrives in the UK so she and her boyfriend can relax and de-stress.

I ended up spending hours on the site. There is such a huge variety of vouchers, I wanted to get them all! I saved some to my ‘favourites’ list so I could recommend them to my friend when she arrives – from discounts for clothes shops to cleaning services and many more.

The site itself runs very quickly, and any question I had was answered in the ‘FAQ’ section. I was pleasantly surprised with this site and I can’t wait to tell my friend about it!
